General Manager – A rare opportunity has come up to manage this multi faceted pub & dining venue in-between Leeds and Bradford.

This group operate destination dining pubs with fresh food and an independent outlook. Each of the pubs are different, but all of them have a focus on creating great food and drink experiences served in an informal atmosphere with welcoming hospitality.

This busy property benefits from a strong function trade with strong pre bookings for weddings and a very successful festive party offering located in a separate function suite.

There is room to develop and improve the focus on the main restaurant business with an emphasis on a fresh, well presented menu delivered consistently and with great service. The task will be to present the pub as a premium alternative to other local food venues.

Managers within the Group are experienced and entrepreneurial as they are the face and hosts of business’s which are very much presented as independent but with the backing of a small but experienced head office team.

Although ticking the boxes and having the procedures in place is essential, an emphasis is placed on having managers with the drive to continually grow the business and spot opportunities.

You will need to have the ability to understand and be involved in your local area as well as knowing who and what your competition are.

With so much individual input, the successful manager need to be able to develop and lead a winning team that can deliver a premium offer even when you are not around. Evidence of training, coaching and setting the standard will be critical here.

The successful General Manager applicant will need to have experience in the fresh food environment and be able to show experience in functions management. A can do attitude, love for customer service and desire to grow a business is as important as a polished CV!

All applicants must have at least 2 years GM experience in a fresh food setting and be able to provide 2 excellent references.

An excellent salary is on offer of £35,000 per annum single salary to live off site – would consider a management couple.

Applicants selected from Cvs will initially be phone screened and then interviewed based on a 2-page business plan for the property. The role commences from September 2017.
